After 21 days of quarantine, I am finally free! Although there are some restrictions that started taking place during my quarantine, I am excited to explore as most places remain open past 9pm anyway-- a stark contrast to home. I've spent the past few days of mini-lockdown visiting family in Yuen Long, strolling around Yau Ma Tei, and relaxing at home.
My classes at CityU started last week as well. Due to the rising omicron cases, most of my classes are delivered online. I have four classes Tuesday-Thursday, and each class is about three hours long. I'm currently taking Mandarin II, China Business Environment, Business and Hong Kong Society, and Designing Brands and Customer Experience, which I’m most excited for!
I definitely miss my family after being away from home for about a month now, but daily calls and video chats keep me close to home! I'm also currently living at my aunt's house, where my room is already filled with pictures of my siblings. As I settle into the city this week, I'm excited to share some of my favorite foods, meet new people, and explore.
